An unfortunate series of events led to the dreaded "attendance loss" that frequently populates the summer league landscape. The Ballers gave it a go with their six players, but ultimately ran out of gas in the last 3 minutes against a run and gun style of play brought by Straight Cash. The game featured a scoring runs and droughts on both sides, but ultimately the Ballers fell 87-79, even with a bit of history provided by the frontcourt.

Scoring history in the front court - For the first time in the 13 years of GDB basketball the Ballers featured three different players that scored 20 or more points in the same game. Will Harris and Mike Reamy each had 20 (6 threes), while Keonte Dennis led the way with 25 points.
Basketball runs can be cruel - In the last 3:33 of the first half GDB found themselves down 36-27, but switched to man to man and fueled a 19-9 run. Unfortunately over the last five minutes of the game they could muster just 4 points as Straight Cash finished on a 16-4 run to win the game.
How may I help you? With scoring up this summer, Baller Point Guard Chris Larson is finding a variety of ways to get the offense humming. Whether it is post feeds, dicing up the zone or finding guys on the break, Larson posted his second 9 assist game of the season. The sharing was contagious as 4 different Ballers had at least 5 assists.

Keonte Dennis - Keonte has put together back to back standout performances. This week he sniffed the GDB franchise single game scoring record (28 pts) with another all around showing with 25 points on a 58/100/100 shooting day and added 5 assists to go with it. If he continues this type of play, the Ballers will be a tough out the rest of the way.

G-Men (1-2) 9:00pm - G-Men gave Joy Boys a scare last week in a 5 point loss. This week will serve as a key game for playoff positioning as whoever wins will have the H2H tiebreaker.
