Writer: Chris LarsonChris Larson

The Green Dot Ballers continued an impressive start to summer session with a dominating second half performance versus the G-Men to run their record to 2-0. A first half that, at times, saw some physically intense play, was just as close when the halftime buzzer sounded and GDB ahead 31-28. The Ballers featured a balanced scoring attack with six of seven players scoring, led by a hot shooting Ryan Demagistris tallying nine points.

The Ballers hit their stride as the second half began, racing out on a 14-3 run that was all about Ed Reddick. Reddick bullied his way to nine points (game high 18 points) including a three point play, a dunk and a drive that wiped out one of the G-Men defenders who thought it was a good idea to try and challenge a drive mid-air.

The next few minutes featured back and forth play in which the G-Men cut the lead to six at 48-41 with eight minutes to play. The Ballers, however were ready to make an early season statement and suffocated the G-Men defensively on the way to a 13-1 finishing kick to cruise to an easy victory. Three Ballers reached double figures, including newcomer Logan Seacrist.
